This black LCD display screen is very easy on the eyes. Use the push button controls to select your stitches and adjust the stitch length and width, then view your selections on the screen. The display even tells you which foot to use for your stitch selection. -
Variable speed controls and start/stop button
Get extra control when sewing with the variable speed control, and use the on-board keys to start and stop sewing and position the needle up and down. The ability to precisely position the needle in the down position is useful when pivoting corners. -
Super bright, LED-lit work area
The built-in LED light is positioned right over the needle area, illuminating your workspace with bright light. This is useful when sewing dark fabrics or detailed work, or when sewing in darker work areas.

Free motion sewing
A simple lever allows you to drop the feed dogs for free-motion quilting. Create your own designs on quilt tops by using the needle to literally draw designs with thread. -
Automatic needle threading system
To thread the needle, simply press the lever on the side of the machine, and your thread is automatically pushed right through the eye of the needle. A real eye saver! Plus, the arrows imprinted on the machine make it easy to see exactly where to place your upper thread. -
Quick-set drop-in top bobbin
The exclusive Brother Quick-set top-load, drop-in bobbin helps ensure your bobbin stays in place, and helps provide the level of reliable, even stitch quality you need for fine sewing. A diagram shows you exactly how to position the bobbin, and the see-through cover helps you keep track of your bobbin thread.

Narrow hem foot
Easily create flat, narrow hems on lightweight fabrics with this specialty foot. Fold and stitch fabric edges in one step, with precise measurements from the fabric edge. -
Blind stitch foot (‘R’ foot)
Create virtually invisible blind hems on pant legs, sleeves and home decor projects, on a variety of fabrics. While designed for blind stitching, this foot also works well for edge stitching, lace and fabric edge joining. -
Overcasting foot (‘G’ foot)
The overcasting foot is used for sewing overcast seams and to help protect the edges of your fabric from fraying. It’s perfect for knits, and helps provide a more professional finish. -
1/4″ (piecing) foot
Get more accurate 1/4″ seams while quilt piecing by using the right front edge of this foot as a guide. The front of the foot also has a 1/4″ marking, for pivoting at corners. The left side of the foot provides a guide for even 1/8″ seams or topstitching. -
Spring action quilting foot
The spring action in this foot reacts to varying fabric heights, helping to keep your stitches consistent. It’s useful for quilting and when working on other projects that have varying fabric thicknesses. -
Buttonhole foot (‘A’ foot)
You’ll be amazed how easy it is to create buttonholes with the built-in one-step buttonhole stitch and this useful foot! Your buttonholes will actually be custom-sized to fit your specific buttons. -
Button sewing foot (‘M’ foot)
Instead of sewing buttons on by hand, save time and get better results by letting your machine take care of it with this included button sewing foot. -
Spring action zigzag foot
This foot is invaluable for sewing over varying fabric thicknesses, such as when hemming denim jeans. The built-in spring action helps the foot transition smoothly over the ‘hills and valleys’ of fabric layers, even when sewing over thick seams. -
Zipper foot (‘I’ foot)
The design of this foot allows you to easily attach zippers on both the right and left sides. This foot can be positioned exactly on the edge of the zipper, for more precise placement. -
Monogramming foot (‘N’ foot)
This sewing foot has a wider opening, and so is useful for any stitches that go side-to-side, such as decorative, heirloom and alphanumeric sewing stitches.
